    Spam of krapps

You know there is a site dedicated to exploring and talking about all the "crap apps" out there? That site is Krapps. Give it a look if you want to discover all the bizarre, weird, gross, crap apps out there.

Now, this brings me to mention something I just noticed in the App Store just moments ago. Specifically in the Social Networking category:

Do you notice something in that pic?

Those 'myUniversity' apps have taken up 16 out of 20 slots on the front page of the Social Networking category in the App Store.

Did you read that right? 16/20

Take a look in the app store for yourself, if you don't believe me (since the screen capture is whatever I can fit on my 13' MacBook screen, not all 16 are there).

Look, the apps have good intentions. Connect with people that go to your university? Sounds cool. BUT NOT WHEN THERE NEEDS TO BE AN APP FOR EVERY SINGLE UNIVERSITY OUT THERE. Why not just make one f---ing app that integrates all the universities together? It would sure make things easier and not clusterf--- the rest of the App Store.

The company behind all of this mess is SplaySoft LLC. Click the link and you'll see all the other tons of most-likely krapps that they have put out.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy krapps. I must be one of the iPhone users with common sense that look for QUALITY apps, and not complete dogshit that just want to make a quick buck.

Get out of my App Store!
